Display Your Logo on Browser Address Bar or Favicon

Want to make your web site standout in crowded favorites lists in browsers and address bars? How about displaying your logo next to links to your site.

Instructions :

1.Create or use an existing image for the favicon.

2.Shrink the image to 16 x 16 pixels (0.222 x 0.222 inches) or 32 x 32 pixels (0.444 x 0.444 inches) in your image editor.

3.Save the image as a Windows icon (.ICO) file with an icon or favicon generator (see resources).

4.Open the HTML file for the web page where the image will be displayed with a text editor, such as Notepad, TextPad or EditPlus. Open the "index.html" or "index.htm" or "index.aspx" file, for example, if you want the image to display in the address bar for your home (index) page.

5.Add the following code inside the <HEAD> tag in your HTML file:

 <link id="Link1"  runat="server" rel="shortcut icon" href="~/Images/Hk.ico" type="image/x-icon" />
  <link id="Link2" runat="server" rel="icon" href="~/Images/Hk.ico" type="image/ico" />
